What Others Are Saying
There are few times on our journey through life that we can really find someone special, and even fewer times that we find someone who truly reflects the character and nature of Jesus, a person who not only preaches the accurate word of God, but who lives it in their everyday life. A person like this is a very rare gem. Their integrity remains in great times as well as turbulent, and they remain constantly steadfast and faithful to the Spirit of God. Pastor Brian is a carbon copy of that man.
In all my years serving the Lord I've never met a man of God so committed and focused on God and His kingdom. Pastor Brian is truly a father and mentor in the kingdom of God. His ministry is one of uniqueness and of great power with signs and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. His faithfulness for more than forty years of ministry combined with an unwavering commitment have qualified him to be one of the leading voices in the modern church today. I pray that as you read through the pages of this book that it would not be just "another book" but one that transforms your life though the power of The Living God and that deepens your relationship with the Holy Spirit.

I've known Pastor Brian Weeks for a number of years, and to use a comparison, I'd say that he is like a fresh breeze. He is a voice that God is using in these days to share His love, His words, and His plans for our generation. Pastor Brian is a nowadays and very accurate prophet of the Lord, whom God uses to reach His children, but also those who are not yet saved, to bring salvation, healing, deliverance, edification, and restoration. He is God's hands, feet, and mouth for today.
His prophetic messages are based on the New Covenant with grace and have a great Kingdom impact everywhere he goes. His desire is to see the Body of Christ fully equipped and enjoying God's presence. And all this comes from his intimacy with God. I have learned many things from him, and I can say that I'm very blessed to have him as a partner, friend, and brother in Christ.
Pastor Brian is a great blessing for Romania and for our church as well in the last years. He has spoken words of life over all of us, those words revealing God's heart for us and for His Church all over the world. We appreciate so much what the Lord is doing through him for impacting the
nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom.
We are tremendously blessed to have him around a few weeks each year. We love his passion for The King and His Kingdom, and we are thankful to hear Pastor Brian teaching about it and to see him manifesting God's love and power through the prophetic words. This man of God has a great wisdom, a powerful revelation, and a gentle heart as a son of the Lord.

I remember the night I first met Brian. I was a newly ordained priest in the Episcopal church who had responded to a call to serve as the youth director for the diocese of Albany in upstate NY. My wife and I drove down to Coxsackie to help minister at an ecumenical youth event one night, and the pastor organizing the event invited us to go out to dinner with the other ministers that would be leading that night. One of the folks at the dinner was Pastor Brian, and I had been told he had a strong prophetic gift. We got to talking during the meal and before I knew it he asked me if I knew my wife and I would be having a baby soon. Ha! Well, we hadn't told anyone this yet, but we had just found out that my wife Audrey was pregnant and that we would in fact be having a baby soon. From that moment on I was certain of two things about Pastor Brian; he had an amazing prophetic anointing from the Lord, and he had the courage to say and do what Jesus wanted said and done. And that has proven true ever since. In fact, I've never met anyone who is so gifted as Brian to accomplish what Jesus wants to get done in a Christian meeting. His ability to hear the Lord so clearly and to boldly say what he hears has led to some of the most transformative encounters with Jesus that I've ever witnessed in peoples' lives.

This book is a must-read for every Christian, especially those who have a call to leadership. I found the testimonies, insights, and lessons shared to be relevant, encouraging, and powerful. I can’t wait to purchase it and use it as a part of the leadership development training in my church.
I was glued to reading the book, as I related so much of what Pastor Brian wrote to my own life. Many of the circumstances God allows--those that play a key role as He fashions us into His vessel--can be challenging and at times confusing…BUT GOD uses everything for our good if we faint not and trust Him through it all.
It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord takes such care and time to fashion us and prepare us to carry His word and presence into the lives of others. I am grateful to the Lord for the gift Brian is to the world! I am one who has been personally impacted by the ministry of the prophetic anointing on his life, and my church has been ministered to with accurate, precise, powerful words from the Lord.
Thank you, Pastor Brian, for yielding to the Holy Spirit, staying on the potter’s wheel, walking through the valleys and allowing the fire to refine you. I am blessed because of your life and obedience to the call of God. Thank you for writing this book so others, just like me, will be encouraged and strengthened along their journey!

RECOMMEDATIOMS MUSINGS:
What Others Are Saying
Pastor Brian has a very powerful prophetic ministry. I have had the opportunity to minister with him on several occasions (he is a regular guest minister at my parish) and I have watched the Lord speak amazing words of encouragement over many people through him. The prophetic words that he has spoken over both me and my wife have been very encouraging and have come to fruition!
Pastor Brian also has a deep heart for the Lord and his people. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend his ministry to anyone looking to grow in the Lord and expand into the prophetic ministry.

More than a quarter of a century has passed since I first met Pastor Brian Weeks. If I were to honor three men of God who have impacted me the most in my life, and in my work for the Lord, PB is one of them.
He has earned this place because:
His flexibility to hear the voice of God
His pedagogy: Even when the topics are of a complex nature the moment he speaks he brings clarity and understanding to his audience and people are convicted that God has spoken to them.
His sense of duty. Everything he does he does well and with a spirit of excellence. These attributes inspire other people to follow his example.
He is a visionary.
During this last decade PB and I have journeyed together through many parts of Haiti. Whenever we go God uses him to speak to people prophetically. There is one question that is continually asked, "How does he know that?” My answer is I know that PB has the mouth and eyes of God having read what is in people’s lives.
So PB is and remains a divine tool, a vessel of honor, full of integrity, a dispenser of truth, rightly dividing the word of God. All this is summarized by saying he is a simple servant of God.

For 25 years, Pastor Brian Weeks has been a friend to our family; an encouraging mentor to me - a pastor in a denomination not known for comfort with the charismatic experience of Holy Spirit; and a colleague of great integrity. That integrity is nowhere more evident than in Brian’s transparency of character and soul. To be trusted by him is one of the greatest compliments I can imagine. His willingness to share freely with others what he is learning, and his willingness to join in the spiritual adventure of others also marks Brian Weeks as a man of courage. He is no fool who rushes in with a word that may be ‘out of season’. He is a careful pastor with others; but with the revelations in his ‘musings’ blog, Pastor Brian took a further risk. In both, Brian has opened a door for others to experience how personal, how loving and how challenging it is to be in the embrace of Holiness and Perfect Love. There is nowhere else he would want to be. For those of us with that shared passion, I say thank you, PB.

Pastor Brian is one of the most uniquely gifted ministers of the gospel I have ever met. I think the secret of his success lies in his potent combination of being both able to hear what the Lord is saying in a remarkably clear way, and being brave enough to convey what the Lord is saying in a clear way regardless of the context. The result of this combo is a pure sounding trumpet blast from heaven that, in my experience, sends shock waves into the lives of everyone that attends his meetings. I have experienced first hand the positively life changing impact God can have on an entire congregation through the ministry of a prophet of the Lord of Brian's caliber. Praise be to God!

Throughout this book, you will find well documented stories; they are lessons learned in the crucible of life. Pastor Brian’s transparency begs us to examine our own souls to see how his personal experiences, personal feelings, and personal shortcomings may mirror our own. How might the wisdom he learned help us in our own personal journey?
Within the pages of this book, you will discover gems of knowledge and nuggets of gold mined from the river of life. The wisdom he learned along the way is here for the taking. After reading through the first portion of this book, I sent Pastor Brian a message. I told him, Brian, your book is like the balm of Gilead, salve for the soul.
I have come to look forward with anticipation to reading each of Pastor Brian Weeks’ books. The newest, Gems From My Father’s River, is no exception; it is yet another phenomenal book.

In a time they’re calling the Fatherless Generation, I find Pastor Brian’s book so timely and appropriate. How correct were the Apostle Paul’s words that we have many teachers but few Fathers.
I love this book because not only does it anchor us in the Kingdom through the reality of His Word, but it comes from the Life of a practitioner who is able to put into words his experiences. These in turn take us further than knowledge into a place of transition where the Word in us is made Spirit, enabling us to be truly empowered. Pastor Brian allows us to be unafraid of our humanity, knowing that God’s Grace that is lavished on us through Christ not only takes our sins and sickness, but is more than enough to see us through our dark moments. Those moments in turn make us strong.
Thank you, Pastor Brian for the years of being on the coal face of life as well as in the river of your God picking up the Gems. You are a true Father of the Faith. We need a lot more of your breed to raise up Sons who truly desire to leave a legacy of true Sonship on the earth. I know whoever reads this book is going to be encouraged to run for God knowing there is nothing that will separate them from their Father’s love.
In fact, the reader will be willing to run to make Sons and Daughters, proud of who they are. Gems From My Father’s River truly makes Great Reading.
Be Blessed!

ACKNOWLEGEMENTS
After I left college in 1970 I was faced with a choice. I could go home and investigate whether God was real or go west and attempt a career as a writer. Thankfully I chose to go home.
Turns out the second desire was simply put on hold.
Yes, even as time passed, the desire to write was deep within me and didn’t disappear. Until recently though, I was too busy and furthermore, honestly, had nothing to say. Then about five or six years ago when thoughts began coming to my mind, I started writing them down, which led to Thoughts of the Day, a devotional which I posted (and still do) daily. Eventually I compiled them into my first book Musings. Then came Divine Encounters. Both were published in 2017.
Yes, I waited 47 years to write! And now I have finished my third book. I address all this by way of praising God for his faithfulness. To have kept the dream of writing alive has literally kept me alive. I thank God and acknowledge that I am being truly empowered to write. For the past six months I tried to write this book but couldn’t - there was no anointing. Then one day I heard, “Go write,” and within a very short time book three was done. Thank you, Holy Spirit!
I want to acknowledge all the people in my life who I’ve met or walked beside since the day I committed my life to Christ. I have learned so much, and without them this book would not have been written. Of them I ask for forgiveness for any wrong actions or attitudes that surfaced within our relationship or in the midst of our even brief encounters.
To my wife Donna and son and daughter Josh and Crystal, thank you for who you are and for the love and encouragement you have given me.
Thank you again to Anne Kaminski for her continued encouragement and hours of editing – her calls for clarification and further development of parts of the text as well as all the grammatical errors she has fixed. Truth be told, without her I don’t see how this book or my first two would’ve ever been published. I could have paid an editor (but not really, as I couldn’t have afforded it), but likely they would not have invested their heart and mind by asking the same questions or requiring the same clarification. I’ll say it again, thank you Anne…
